According to the latest reclamation report as of March 2026, Weda Bay Nickel has successfully reclaimed 223.43 hectares<\/strong> of land as part of its efforts to restore the ecological functions of its mining operational areas. The reclaimed areas are located across several sites within WBN\u2019s operational concession, including Kao Rahai, Biri-Biri, and Tofu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, revegetation activities are being carried out progressively in accordance with the reclamation plan approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and in compliance with applicable regulations. These efforts are further supported by Weda Bay Nickel\u2019s 2.02-hectare nursery facility<\/strong>, which enables the company to propagate and cultivate a wide variety of plant species required for post-mining revegetation across reclaimed areas.<\/p>\n The reclamation process includes landform recontouring, the planting of various vegetation species, and ongoing monitoring of plant growth to ensure that ecosystem recovery progresses effectively.<\/p>\n Manager of Health, Safety, and Environment at Weda Bay Nickel, Ronggour Siahaan, stated that reclamation is an integral part of the company\u2019s operational lifecycle.<\/p>\n \u201cWe integrate environmental management into every stage of our operations, from planning and implementation to monitoring and the rehabilitation of mined-out areas.
